PAGE Board Approves Nine New SuppliersMarch 26, 2010
On March 3, the PAGE Board of Directors approved the following nine Preferred Suppliers based on the recommendation of the Supplier Evaluation Committee. The Supplier Evaluation Committee met in January 2010 and reviewed twelve potential Preferred Suppliers and heard updates from existing Preferred/Platinum Suppliers.
Appogee
Appogee focuses on the publishing, advertising, video and new media markets and is the country’s only national Apple Enterprise Specialist. They market Apple products, related products and Apple Service, training, integration and managed services. Appogee was formed in 2008 and currently employs 11 people. They are offering PAGE members their highest tier discount across their product and service offering. Website: www.appogee.com
Base- Line, Inc.
BaseLine supplies prepress products such as imagesetting film, plates, related chemistries, splicing tape and press supplies. They have been in business for over 60 years and employ 30 people in their Shelton, CT plant. Base-Line sells only to dealers and is proposing to treat PAGE as such, offering dealer pricing. Collette Mechanical Services (BCB)
BCB offers complete turnkey installations of new and used single and double width presses, installation and rebuild of plate benders, installation and alignment of plate lock-ups, press folder and unit audits, web width reductions, check alignment and re-tram presses. They have a complete traveling machine shop and will also custom manufacture and reverse engineer parts. BCB is offering PAGE members a reduced labor rate.

virtually any quantity within five days or less. They currently employ eleven people at their facility in Amherst, NY. Graphic Distributors has not sold to end-users in the past and is offering PAGE the same pricing as their distributors. They are also offering PAGE members lowered pricing on film, chemistry and poly plates.
Mitsubishi Imaging
Mitsubishi Imaging is a supplier of polyester printing plates. They also provide an imaging and processing system for these plates for the short run newspaper market (under 25K impressions). Their product line includes the Silver Digiplate, Katana platesetter with processor and RIP, and a heatset bender. They are offering PAGE members discounted pricing on a package that includes the Katana and bender with a commitment for plate usage, and lowered pricing on inkjet proofing media and inkjet imaging film. They have been in business for over thirty years

Outsourcing USA provides prepress service, specifically display advertising creation for both print and web, to the publishing industry. They are based in Dallas, PA and offer a US-based outsourcing alternative. They offer both print and digital ad creation. PuzzleFlow Solutions
Puzzleflow offers a prepress workflow solution. They have been in business for six years and have six employed in the US and ten in Europe. The main differentiator in their offering is that it is purely pdf-based. Tinbu builds interactive content modules that are designed to generate measurable increases in PAGE views, repeat site traffic, user satisfaction and revenue generation. Content channels are available in: lottery, horoscope, weather, flight tracking, stocks, celebrity entertainment, etc. Tinbu offers two models – you can either take a split of the revenues from the content modules, or purchase them outright.
