PAGE: Are You Getting Best Price?December 1, 2017

If it’s been some time since you’ve evaluated PAGE pricing, now is the time to take a fresh look.

Have suppliers ever offered you a better price than you were getting through PAGE, or at least that’s how it appeared? Or perhaps someone told you that his or her newspaper was paying less than the PAGE price, although the comparison may have only been done with the PAGE upfront price and did not include the additional savings from the PAGE rebates, discounts and patronage dividend. If so, why not get the facts?

Here’s what you can do now to ensure you are getting the best pricing …

• Review all your suppliers and determine if those that are PAGE Preferred Suppliers are billing you through PAGE. If any are not, contact the supplier(s) and ask to be billed through PAGE. The more you purchase through PAGE, the larger your year-end Patronage Dividend will be.

• If you are purchasing from a non-PAGE Preferred Supplier, it’s likely that a PAGE Preferred Supplier can save you money. Use the supplier list in this newsletter to find the PAGE contact at the selected supplier. That person knows the most about the PAGE discounts offered by his or her company.

• Go to the PAGE Preferred Suppliers’ pages at pagecooperative.com to learn of other discounts that would benefit your company. Then contact the PAGE representative at that company to discuss getting those savings.

• Did you know that every PAGE Preferred Supplier of ink offers a PAGE branded ink that is quality ink at a great price? Perhaps it’s time to give it a try.

• Make sure every person in your organization who is responsible for purchasing supplies and services is checking the PAGE price before making a decision to buy. Also make sure they understand that PAGE pricing often includes additional discounts, rebates and the year-end dividend.

• You are an owner of PAGE Cooperative, so it’s to your benefit, and the benefit of the cooperative as a whole, to notify PAGE if and when you are offered a price better than the PAGE price. By notifying PAGE, you help the cooperative help you, and other newspapers, continue getting great pricing.

• Finally, contact the PAGE staff (800-468-9568) if you want to do a cost analysis or need additional information … or you want to bring your team together for an onsite visit from PAGE to discuss ways your company can get the most from its membership. Contacts: John Snyder, Ext. 176, john.snyder@pagecooperative.com; Steve Schroeder, Ext. 187, steve.schroeder@pagecooperative.com; Joan Graff, Ext. 196, joan.graff@pagecooperative.com.

Time is money, as the saying goes. In this case, the time you take now to ensure your company is getting the best prices can pay off financially for years to come. Rather than listen to others, please take the time to do your own research and know the facts for your company.
