I have been using Rieger Ink since July 2004 and would like to take this opportunity to let other printers know how much I like the quality of this brand of ink and the reliability of the company. One time our order did not get delivered on time because of a mistake UPS made. My head pressman called the branch manager and he put the ink on the back of his pick up and delivered it himself that day. Several times different pressmen have wanted their ink a little thicker or thinner and all it took was one call and the formulation was changed with no hassle. Dear Chuck:

Just wanted to say how thrilled I am today to be a PAGE member. A few weeks ago, I went to place my regular newsprint order, for delivery in three weeks. I was shocked to be told by our regular supplier that they could not get me any newsprint for six weeks! They explained that the market had "shifted", that the supply/demand balance had changed, and that all the manufacturing capability was already taken.

I was in danger of loosing a major commercial printing customer, plus running out of newsprint for our own newspapers. Thanks to you and the rest of our PAGE team (with the help of Cox's Greg Tant and AbitibiBowater's Jiggs Fey) You really came through for us. Two paper trucks are being unloaded at my plant right now, just in time to get my commercial customer printed and keep our newspaper presses on schedule.

We are placing orders in advance now, building inventory, and doing all the prudent, proper things one does in these circumstances. However, when the market made this sudden move, we would have been destroyed without PAGE.

We recently had a visit from PAGE Ass't GM Steve Schroeder as part of an operational evaluation. The emphasis was on the technology part of our business.

While Steve was with us he uncovered a number of opportunities to refine and change the way we were doing things that helped us to improve our efficiency and profitability while giving our people a sense of empowerment. Steve also prepared an executive summary that has been used to streamline a number of departments as well as help us to budget for future projects. Many times a "consultant" will tell you what you want to hear and charge you for his time. Steve took the experience that he has had along with the experience he has gained by working closely with other PAGE newspaper partners to make recommendations that were measurable and cost effective.
