Just wanted to say how thrilled I am today to be a PAGE member. A few weeks ago, I went to place my regular newsprint order, for delivery in three weeks. I was shocked to be told by our regular supplier that they could not get me any newsprint for six weeks! They explained that the market had "shifted", that the supply/demand balance had changed, and that all the manufacturing capability was already taken.
I was in danger of loosing a major commercial printing customer, plus running out of newsprint for our own newspapers. You really came through for us. Two paper trucks are being unloaded at my plant right now, just in time to get my commercial customer printed and keep our newspaper presses on schedule.

Without question, our cost of supplies has improved as a result of being a PAGE member. I have never been able to purchase newsprint at pricing as competitive as PAGE can obtain for me. Additionally, PAGE negotiates monthly rebates plus additional "surprise" rebate checks. The overall savings on newsprint alone is tremendous through PAGE.
Buying through PAGE simplifies purchasing and I write a single check to pay for all supplies. That is a huge, time-saving advantage for me.
It's so nice on those few occasions that I don't agree with an invoice to contact my PAGE account manager and he takes care of the footwork in getting the bill corrected. Those types of errors don't happen often, but it's still nice that I don't have to spend the time making multiple calls to correct the error.
PAGE regularly sends a newsletter with suppliers for publishing and printing. When I needed someone to recycle excess ink I had left over, the process became very simple as a result of information available through page and its list of suppliers.
PAGE has a forum for idea exchange among its members. The quality of our product improved dramatically through a relationship I've formed with other PAGE members, finding out how they solved some issues and bouncing ideas back and forth. In 2001 I recommended that Jet Micro make a presentation to the PAGE Supplier Evaluation Committee and was very pleased when the committee recommended that Jet Micro be approved as a Preferred Supplier by the PAGE Board. Jet Micro was approved and since that time they have been regularly voted a Platinum Supplier by our membership.
In February 2016, Jet Micro announced that Ed McIntosh had joined their staff in the role of PAGE Cooperative Specialist. In addition to being a key leader for our IT team Ed is one of the most knowledgeable newspaper production people I know. His organization skills and attention to detail is second to no one.

Joining PAGE was the best money-saving step our newspapers have taken. We have saved untold thousands upon thousands of dollars in newsprint, film and ink purchases alone. Buying everything from computers to office supplies through PAGE has produced significant savings every year.
PAGE makes everything so easy. We contact the cooperative's approved suppliers directly and place our orders. We never have to worry about keeping up with dozens of direct bills or credit card bills. PAGE pays the vendor and sends us the bill and invoice with full explanations.
The staff of PAGE could not be more cooperative. It is the proverbial "lean" but not "mean" organization that seems to do everything right. Even when a minor glitch occurs, PAGE personnel see that is straightened out almost immediately.
The courtesy of the staff is unparalleled. In an age of "robot answering" devices, you can easily get a real person on the phone or via email at PAGE.

We made the switch to Central Ink several years ago, and we have been very happy that we did. We had used the same ink supplier for years. When we installed a new press we had many printing issues such as toning and scumming, and our vendor was unable to fix the problems. We called Central Ink, and not only were they able to help improve our quality, but they were able to save us a ton of money.
